Introduction

National Early Childhood Educator Apprenticeship Network Annual Report FY 2025-2026

The 2025–2026 TEACH National Apprenticeship Report highlights how registered apprenticeship programs provide a structured, flexible pathway to expand and strengthen the early childhood education workforce. By combining five core elements — paid employment, on-the-job learning, related technical instruction, mentorship and recognized credentials — apprenticeships enable educators to earn while they learn and advance their careers. Operated through the National Early Childhood Educator Apprenticeship Network, the TEACH Early Childhood® National Center serves as an industry intermediary, offering tailored technical assistance to help states align U.S. Department of Labor–approved apprenticeship models with local workforce needs and existing scholarship infrastructure.
